Larry Barrott - Artistic Director
Larry is an accomplished actor, director and scholar. He holds a BA in Theatre Arts from Santa Clara University, a Master's Degree in Education from American Continental University, and is currently working on his Master's Degree in Theatre Arts at San Jose State University. Larry received his certification in stage combat from Dueling Arts International and serves as the company's resident fight director. Larry directed SSTC's productions of Romeo and Juliet and The Comedy of Errors. |

Dinna Myers - Managing Director
Dinna is a co-founder of Shady Shakespeare. She received her BA in Theatre Arts with an emphasis in lighting design and directing from San Jose State University. She is a co-founder of Shady Shakespeare and directed the productions of As You Like It, Much Ado About Nothing, Hamlet, The Merry Wives of Windsor, The Tempest, and Twelfth Night (2008). Dinna is employed as the Sales Manager at Musson Theatrical in Santa Clara. |

Doll Piccotto - Dramaturg
Doll has a BA in English from UCSB with an emphasis in Shakespeare in Performance. She has worked as an actor, dramaturge, or costume designer on more than 50 Shakespearean productions. She directed SSTC's A Midsummer Night's Dream (2004), wrote and directed Shakespeare’s Most Wanted which premiered in 2007 and is being remounted in April 2009, and is an active theatre artist in the Bay Area. |

Vera Sloan -Membership Director
Vera has been an active local theatre artist, administrator, and educator for several years. When not promoting and developing Shady Shakespeare's membership program, she can be found teaching theatre to K-8 public school students throughout the Bay Area for TheatreWorks. Vera holds a BA in Theatre Arts from San Jose State University and lives in downtown San Jose with her husband, Keith, to whom she got engaged during a performance of Shady Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night. |

Melissa Tom -Education Director
Melissa received a BA in Theatre from SJSU with an emphasis on acting, makeup design, and children's theatre. She has also received training in improvisation from ComedySportz and in mime and Commedia dell'Arte from American Conservatory Theatre (ACT). For the past eight years, Melissa has taught, directed, and developed theatre curriculum for numerous schools and camps in Sunnyvale and Santya Clara School Districts with the nonprofit organization, Starting Arts. When she is not performing, Melissa works behind the scenesfor local theatre companies as a freelance makeup and wig designer, including teaching workshops on application techniques. |

Sara Betnel - Artistic Director Emeritus
Sara was the founding Artistic Director of Shady Shakespeare. She currently lives near Providence, Rhode Island where she works with Elemental Theatre Collective, The Manton Avenue Project, and Trinity Repertory Company. She recently received an MFA in Theatre Education from Boston University with a focus on Acting and Ensemble Creation. She received her BA in Drama from the University of Washington, after which she attended the acting school at Ilkhom Theatre in Tashkent, Uzbekistan. She directed SSTC's productions of Twelfth Night (1999) and The Two Gentlemen of Verona. |
