2010 SEASON AUDITIONS

Much Ado About Nothing (directed by Larry Barrott) 
The Merchant of Venice (directed by Bryan Freeman)

Audition Dates:  February 15th and 16th from 6:30pm - 9:30pm.

Callback Dates:  February 18and 19th from 6:30pm -10:00pm. Additional callbacks, if necessar,y will be held Saturday February 20th.

Audition Location:  Musson Theatrical, 890 Walsh Ave., Santa Clara.

What to Bring:  Please prepare two (2) contrasting Shakespeare monologues each no more than two minutes in length. Much Ado About Nothing will contain a great deal of live music. Singers should come prepared with no more than 2 minutes of a song. Songs from the WWII and Swing eras are encouraged. An accompianist will be provided. Also, please bring your headshot, resume, and calendar.  Singing roles include, but are not limited to Beatrice, Hero, Margaret, Ursula, and Balthasar, with the possible addition of Benedick.

About the Season:  Productions are performed in repertory (alternating performance evenings) at 7pm Thursdays through Sundays July 30 - September 5, 2010 at Sanborn-Skyline County Park in Saratoga. 

A stipend is paid to all actors. All roles are available and many actors will be cast in both productions. SSTC has an open casting policy and embraces cultural diversity in its productions. Roles traditionally played by men may also be available to women.

About Rehearsals:  Rehearsals begin May 24th and are held M-F evenings from 6:30pm - 10:00pm. Fight, dance, and music calls will be held on Saturdays. Rehearsals will be held at Musson Theatrical and at Sanborn Park.
