Saratoga is located in Santa Clara County, 26 miles east of the Pacific Coast, 10 miles southwest of downtown San Jose, and 50 miles south of San Francisco. The city is situated in the foothills of the Santa Cruz Mountains at an elevation of 500 feet.

Saratoga Village: Designated a California Historical Site in 1950, it features many buildings throughout the community's business area and adjoining residential neighborhoods that were original to early Saratoga.
