In Shakespeare's keystone to his War of the Roses series, party days are past and the Plantagenet heir has ascended the English throne as Henry V. Meanwhile, in anticipation of no rejoinder from the decadently riotous Prince Hal, the French have seized English lands in Normandy. But alas, this is no devil-may-care princeling monarch and the trespass will not go unanswered. Treachery, vitriol and passions culminate on the field of Agincourt where in 1415, little more than 5000 English, mostly archers and foot soldiers faced overwhelming odds as more than five times their number of French forces including thousands of knights, bore down on them. On that late October day, two great nations contended on a muddy field in a battle whose outcome would galvanize a nation. Directed by Larry Barrott.
