TWELFTH NIGHT, directed by Dinna Myers
SSTC often takes Shakespeare and places it in modern or fantastical settings. So this year we will be taking one of Shakespeare's most revered comedies, Twelfth Night, and actually placing it in – get ready for it - Elizabethan England. It is so crazy it just might work! The play actually takes place in a fictional land called Illyria, giving us the opportunity of choosing any potential period and locale, even planet! But in honor of our 10th Anniversary Season, we want to pay homage to what truly makes Shady Shakespeare great – Shakespeare itself. We invite you to come and enjoy this play much as it might have been presented by the Bard himself. With Twelfth Night we will be reveling in all the trappings of real Shakespearean theatre, like cross-dressing twins, mistaken identities, and men in tights!

The COMEDY OF ERRORS, directed by Larry Barrott
SSTC's Comedy of Errors, a farcical romp involving two sets of identical twins separated at birth, is filled with confused identities as one master and his servant are mistaken for their mirror-like counterparts. Meanwhile, the clock is running out on their father who, under the laws of Ephesus will die unless he can find someone to vouch for him by sunset. Fast-paced and set in a world reminiscent of the pirate-laden Caribbean of the 17th century, Comedy of Errors promises a delightful entertainment for young and old alike. Shady Shakespeare looks forward to presenting the Bard's classic, Roman-inspired comedy, this time filled with Pirates of the Aegean.
